MS word has suddenly begun operating erratically for example, I cannot use
the moouse to highlight text but I can scroll. When I tried to use the MS
Office disk to repair whatever is wrong, I get the following error message:
"Error 1406. setup cannot write the value to the registry key
/clsid/{f0291081-4E07-97DA-A0A03761E586}. Verify that you have sufficient
permissions to access the registry.....). What gives?

Hi Andy,

This sounds like a registry problem...nothing to do with Word. Try
restarting your computer. Hopefully that will correct the problem. If it
persists, you might need to seek someone who is more of an expert when it
comes to the Windows Registry. That's something you don't want to mess
around with unless you know exactly what you're doing.
