WORD has the irritating feature of automatically capitalizing the first
lettter of the first word on each newly typed line of text, thus usually
creating a grammar error which must be corrected and slowing down the
tryping. How can this error-creating feature be disabled? Thank you.

Open Word and from the Toolbar select
Tools > AutoCorrect Options. Under the
AutoCorrect tab, uncheck "Capitalize first
word of sentences" and click OK.

Do you actually mean the first letter of every _line_?

Anyway, select Tools -> Autocorrect and the select the Autocorrect
tab and uncheck he things you don't want.

first, this is a forum for XP, the operating system. Your question is
better addressed in one of the groups under microcost.public.office.......

If you are getting capitalization at the beginning of every line, first stop
treating Word like a glass typewriter - don't hit the enter button till you
mean to start a new paragraph. Let Word handle wrapping lines, you tell it
when a sentence ends and then just the beginning of sentences will be
automatically capitalized.

Good grief. Since there are many instances where one might want an
uncapitalized word or two on a separate line, perhaps you should just answer
