Word XP - Confirm Block Delete??

E

Ed

I've just been upgraded from Word 20000 to Word XP. I selected a block of
text and hit "Delete" - and nothing happened! Looking around my screen, I
spotted a message on the Status Bar - "Delete Block? No (Yes)".

I realize this is a "feature" and not a bug - but I'd still like to squash
it! Any help at doing so is appreciated.

It isn't on by default, but a lot of vba utilities that start out by
recording macros end up replicating strange settings...
