word problems

I am running windows xp and I seem to have a problem with
word 2000. I have several computers that run xp and they
all have a problem with word is there any solution. It is
mainly a problem when I use word as my e-mail editor for
outlook it always freezes up on me. Also I have a problem
with word when I cut and paste. Does any one have a
solution. I have used office xp and still I have problems
PLEASE HELP.
