Word Problems Since Security Update 10/18/09

Since I have my computer setup for automatic updates, Windows did an update
on 10/18/09 that has left Word very unstble on my Vista machine. The copy I
have pasted is not editable or accessible. And I am unable to use the scroll
bars. Only the arrow keys allow me to work in the document. Help!!
