Word printing problems

This is for word 2000,

When i copy and paste an image into word from the internet it doesn't seem
to print. It is displayed on screen and in print preview, but as soon as you
press print the image disapears. And only the text prints. I have googled
for a fix but i can't find any specific articles for this issue.

I'm guessing if each image is saved and inserted it will be fine, but this
is for my mum and explaining to her how to do that would probably kill me.
This also doesn't seem like a very elegant solution.

Does anyone know how to fix this bug?

It does this on two different printers. Although they are both HP.

Word is probably updating fields at print time. Since the image is probably
a field linking to the image online, it won't be available unless your mum
is connected to the Internet. Tell her before printing (but while still
connected) to select the image and press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink the graphic
and embed it in the document. OTOH, if field updating is causing the
problem, it should happen when using Print Preview as well.
