I've just installed XP. I had problems installing it. I had to use my IBM
Aptiva recovery disk to be able to recover my machine, and load the XP
install disk. (I lost my writing program in the process).
I've used Word Pad to write with temporarily, but when I attempt to
E-mail something I wrote, Word Pad removes all formatting and a page becomes
6 feet wide. Documents that I wrote with Word Pad when stored have no
formatting either.If I write them to a disk will they also lose their
formatting? I am a novice but the worst thing I've done so far is to go to
XP. I've nothing but trouble. My Epson Stylus Color 660 printer has no
status monitor now. My Epson Scanner 610 used PhotoMaxPro with great
results, but now it takes forever to come in and then all the while it's in
use the hard drive keeps going "Clunk". I've a "Rapid Access IBM keyboard
that has 7 programmable buttons and a volume control that now also doesn't
work other than as a normal KB. (I'm afraid to install the driver for the KB
for fear of losing the KB's use) HHHEEELLLPPPPP!
