word on XP

MS word will not run on XP. When I launch the application
it will come up and the go away.

Any suggestions?

try deleteing the file called Normal.dot

Don't delete the normal.dot simply locate it and rename it
normal.old then restart Word.
Otherwise post to the Word NG.

if you've got no templates set up you can just delete it.
