WORD - insertng a picture

HELP!!!

I want to insert a .jpg picture of my company's logo in a
text box...I've been doing it for years wothout any
trouble. All of a sudden I'm getting a red "x" in the
upper left corner of the text box.

Is the pic too large to put it in? Is there a way of
turning it on/off?
