Word freezes when I try to save. Suggestions?

I am running Office XP. When I try to save a Word document, the program
freezes. Any suggestions on how to repair this?

a simple registry fix. Note: You may need to temporarily disable your
antivirus program in order to safely run the scripted fix.

(I have a friend who had to do this. It took her a few minutes and it is now
as good as ever. She is *not* a guru and she said it was very easy.)
