word access

I installed windows XP onto my gateway computer. The
computer crashed (thanks to teenage kids) and we had the
harddrive rebuilt. We cannot access the word program. it
seems the product key won't work to bring up word

what now??

You would need to reinstall Word, Office or Works Suite, whichever was
installed on your PC when you purchased it. It should be a separate CD and
will come with its own CD Key.... it does not use the same key as the one
for Windows.
