word 7 printing problem

N

nellie

I'm working on an invitation that is not the standard paper size. I have
changed the paper size and orientation, but can't get the whole document to
print on the size I have requested. Only a portion of the document is
printing, the bottom portion only. What do I need to do to fix my problem.
Thanks.

Although Word is happy to accept custom paper sizes, many printers are not
so accommodating. Try printing your invitation, as currently set up, on a
standard sheet of paper (Letter or A4) and see where it prints. It may just
be that the printer is expecting to find the paper somewhere other than
where you're feeding it. If you can change the feed method to place the
paper where the printer expects to find it, do so. Otherwise, you will have
to create your invitation on Letter/A4, making up the difference with
margins.

(This assumes that your invitation is smaller than Letter/A4 but not smaller
than the next smaller size recognized by the printer; in any case, you
should make up your invitation on the next-larger recognized size.)
