Word 2007 - Shortcut key to temporarily display hidden folders?

R

There is a shortcut key (or key combination) that you can press to
temporarily display hidden folders in a list of folders. Anyone know what it
is? Thanks in advance. P.S. I know how to change Folder options in the
Control Panel to show hidden files and folders, but I don't want to
permanently change my settings to always display hidden files/folders.

As far as I'm aware, your assertion is wrong -- there is no such shortcut or
command.

Hidden folders are under control of Windows, not Word. I don't believe there
is such a possiblity, but to be sure, I suggest you post this in a newsgroup
for your version of Windows.

Windows explorer will open a hidden folder if you enter the address directly.
Try this:
1. Display the hidden folders.
3. Create a shortcut to the folder.
4. Hidden the hidden files.
5. Double click the shortcut.

Which sub-files show when you open the folder depends upon how deep the
hiding goes.

Maybe you're thinking of Ctrl-Shift-H, which displays hidden _text_.

Thanks for the good hint, Mecalith. It jogged my memory. There is no
shortcut key, but here's how to do it: Right-click on Start, choose Explore,
browse to the folder that contains the hidden folder, then click in the
navigation text box (at top of dialog, you can then type "\[name of hidden
folder]" to see inside the hidden folder, without changing View defaults
permanently. Thanks to all. - rgille
