Word 2007 print page range problem

N

nip

Have a document which is lengthy and has various section breaks and
other insertions on pages. Individual header and footer depending on
section. Want to print page 48 - 98. Document wants to print from
page 1 to page 200 (entire doc).
What is going on? How can I get it to recognize my print
range????????
Is there something in a style switch that could be causing this?

Whenever a document contains more than one section, you must specify the
section number in the Pages box. For example, let's say page 48 is in
Section 3 and page 98 is in Section 5. You'd have to put p48s3-p98s5.
Although it is counterintuitive to put the page number before the section
number, note that this is the order in which they're stated in the status
bar.

Well put to the test the page and section works, somewhat.
I may be missing something in identifying the section however as the
first did not print
In other words p5s2-p25s15 gave me everything except s2 page.
In 2007 I see in the lower left the page number but not the section
number. To obtain the section number I opened the header / footer and
confirmed it there.
Is there another toolbar or way to change or see the status bar you
refer to? I am thinking that the section number for the header /
footer could be different than that needed for the print but this is
just my logical voice speaking.
All in all though it is going in the right direction and the whole
200+ pages are not spitting out anymore. LOL

Right-click on the status bar and put a check beside "Section," and you will
then see the section number in the status bar.

But I don't understand the statement "p5s2-p25s15 gave me everything except
s2 page." This range should print pages 5-25, assuming that page 5 is in
section 2.

My thought as well. I will do the right click trick and check out the
section number against where I pulled it from and get back to you. I
am assuming it is different or will show different in the status bar
to the section stated in the header, but htis is a guess at this
point.
