Word 2007 format change - scope question

Am a new 2007 user, but have been using Word for a long time. I have a
document that makes heavy use of styles. When I change a paragraph to which a
style has been applied, every paragraph in the document that uses the same
style also changes. I discovered I could 'undo' a single time to undo all
these changes but the single paragraph I wanted to change. Is there a way to
change this behavior so the change I make to one paragraph is not made to all?

Thanks in advance for the help.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/WholeDocumentReformatted.htm. This is
not a new issue in Word 2007.

Thanks very much Jay. I had never seen this behavior before so my Word 2003
styles must have been set to not automatically update. Appreciate the quick
response!
