Word 2003 Outline Numbering

In '97, we could use Tab and Shift Tab to increase and decrease levels in an
outline (Not numbered Styles). Now I can only do the ALT + SHIFT + Arrow. Is
there a way to use TAB again?

On the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect Options, check the
box for "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces."
