Word 2003 Numbering Labels Question

Hi there,
I hope you guys can give me a solution to the following
I do a lot of labels for inventory items so I print off labels with clients
name address and phone numbers but then I have to manually write the number
of items starting at 1 and going to the end example 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and
onwards, so my question: is there a way of setting up automatic numbering for
the labels so I don’t have to write the numbers myself?
