printing labels in word 2007

S

slimady

is there a way to desig and print number sequenced labels in Word without
having to type in the number for each label.
I want to use A4 sheet with 64 labels (Avery L7651) and print 7000
sequencial (1-7000) labels. Obviously this could be time consuming if i have
to type each label individually.... is there a quick method?

Many thanks

In an Excel Spreadsheet, in the first column of the first row, enter the
word "Number", in the first column of the second row enter the numeral 1 and
in the first column of the third row, enter = A2 + 1 so that the numeral 2
appears in that cell. Copy that formula down 6,999 rows.

Then save that worksheet and use it as the data source for a label type
mailmerge in Word.
