Label Printing in Word

When I try to print Avery labels, complete with product number, and I click
on NEW DOCUMENT, no label squares appear, instead, a blank "Word" sheet
appears with a very small square icon in the upper left corner.

How did this happen and how can I return to the "Default" like it used to be?
