Word 2002 Track Changes and Outlining

If I edit a document with track changes on and the paragraphs have outlining with alpha/numeric characters (e.g. a) in the Final Showing Markup view, the outlining changes to an incorrect alpha/numeric order. However; when the view is then switched to Final, the alpha/numeric order is correct.

Can anyone either explain how to keep the Final Showing Markup to be consistent with the viewing of the Final (track changes view), that would be great.

Hi Rebecca

I don't think this can be done. It's just the way Word works.

If you'd like to add your voice to those that have requested that Microsoft
change this in future versions, send an email to (e-mail address removed).
Include the word Word in the subject, explain what you'd like to see, and
why. The more people who request a feature, the more likely that Microsoft
will act on it.
