I have seen answers to this question but they have not worked for me. Why does my printing on a blank word document start halfway down the page. Can anyone help. Have set vertical alignment to Top but does not make any difference.

Is it only within Word 2010 that this happens?

Yes it is when I click on New and go to Blank Document. I can use other documents for writing letters by using Save as and they are ok.

I assume you are referring to text input and not actual printing.

Perhaps this can be of assistance. Specifically the portions about editing and click to type.

Golflady; I had this same problem and it was not the vertical alignment which was set to "top." The problem was that the second page and subsequent headers contained a bunch of spaces, pushing the text down.

Thanks for reply but when I go in to start a word document there is only one page?
