Wont Update

I have tried everything, made sure the 5 programs that
are supposed to be allowed access to the net can. Turned
off all firewalls. Port 80 is open. Still it says there
is no internet connection. Norton av has no trouble
getting updates... the internet of course works... what
could be the issue. Please help, need to get rid of
major spyware. Thanks!!!
