Update Error 0x80244019

I have downloaded and am trying to update the Beta 2 Defender, but when I
click to update, I get the 0x80244019 error. From what I've been able to
find, this is a file not found error, which leads me to believe that it has
something to do with our corporate firewall. In the help section of
Defender, I found this little snippet, "If you use a different firewall,
check the publisher's documentation to see how to allow the program,
MSASCui.exe, to access Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) port 80." If this
is the case, most of corporate America is going to be unable to use this
product as the IT Security people are not going to allow this port open just
so this program will work. Has anybody else run into this issue? Why
wouldn't it be made like messenger, where you can set your proxy settings, or
is this something that is planned for a future release, but if port 80 is the
only one that it will work on, a lot of people are going to need not install.

Corporations who want to run Windows Defender can set up a WSUS server and
point their clients to that internal server for updates. You can verify this
is the issue by checking c:\windows\windowsupdate.log.
