Won't Standby

When I try to put my inspiron 4100 in standby it goes
into standby then returns to the logon page. Running
windows XP Home w/ Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse.
Hibernates just fine but thats not what I want.
Is there something automatically taking it back out of
standby? And, how do I fix that?

I cant get my scanner to work in e-mail mode, it says it needs my password which I have forgotten

You have a driver which is probably not ACPI compatible with
XP and is causing the malfunction to occur with Standby. Try removing
the cordless mouse and keyboard by uninstalling their drivers and
actually removing the devices from your Dell.

If the 4100 operates normally in Standby, you probably need to
download updated drivers for the keyboard or the mouse.
