wont remove

i know nothing about computers.
but i think my computer has a virus. Every time i
run a spy scan it shows that a threat was detected, and
everytime i try to remove it, it wont. It will say that
it was removed but it doesnt. It's there everytime i do a
scan.
I think i got it from a email that was sent to me
that i opened not realizing it had a virus.

1) Reboot in safe mode and run a deep scan
2) Run antivirus (with current definitions) while you are in safe mode.

If you have any luck trying the PF8 thing please let me
know. It did not work for me. MSAS found but did not
remove my spyware as well (see my May 19, 2005, 7:32 p.m.
post for details) (Hope you had better luck)
