Removed Spyware accidentally

L

Laura

Maybe someone can help me here. I put a suspected
spyware in quaranteen, to first determine what it was. I
found out that I wanted it off of my computer for
sure...It is a keylogger spyware (reads password, takes
snapshots, etc.).

Anyway, I clicked on permenately remove item in the
quaranteen area, thinking it would remove it from my
computer, but it removed it from the data base instead.
The spy ware is still on my computer. Now, MS
AntiSpyware scan skips by it, because I 'permanately
removed it from its database.

How do I get this removed now, when MS Antispy won't even
detect it as a threat?

Any help is appreciated.

Restart your computer in safe mode, open Microsoft AntiSpyware, on the scan
page, choose Scan Options > Full System Scan, check the boxes below ? Click
"Run Scan Now", also use the following third party AntiSpyware utlities in

go to quarantine and select un-quarantine to restore the

Laura - do you mean that you chose ignore always for a threat?

If so, this action can be reversed.

It is found in a somewhat difficult to find location--Options, Settings,
click on Spyware Scan in the left column, and look at Ignored spyware
threats on the right.
