WONT PUBLISH TO DISK DUE TO IDENTICAL FILENAMES???

P

PAUL WOODHOUSE

I keep getting the message; "You specified identical
destination filenames for some of the files you are trying
to copy. Make sure all destination files have unique
names and try again".

I have a lot of files on my site. How can I find the
unique names causing the problem?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

This is normally caused by publishing from a Unix system, which uses case
for file name, eg MyName.htm is a different file from myname.htm. When
publishing to Window, which is case independent they are seen as the same
file.

Fix, use lower case for all file names, change like names.

Open the online site in FP and View Reports All files (sort by file name)
