WMV files in Powerpont - help

All of the sudden it takes minutes to insert a WMV file into PowerPoint.
When I play it in a show it takes minutes to start. All AVI, MPG files are
just fine.

I have not installed anything new on the system in 6 months. I am at Ver 10
Mediaplayer and mplay32 is Build 5.1.

Anyone???
