PowerPoint 2002 (SP3) crash when importing WMV Video.

Hi,

I and a few people at work have a problem with importing some WMV video into
Powerpoint 2002 (SP3) using the Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie From
File...

Powerpoint just seems to hang indefinatly with an hourglass showing.

Importing .MPG video files work fine but WMV files fail.

The WMV files are not big, approx 4 MB.

I tried a tiny 200k WMV file and it worked but this was a much older video
file.

Any ideas, could it be a codec issue?

BTW we use Windows XP.

It could definitely be a codec issue. I'd start with the tutorials here:
