wmplayer exits with error indication wrong version

Hi,

I get the following error when starting Windows Media Player
The file wmplayer.exe has a version number of 10.0.0.3803 where 10.0.0.3546
was expected.Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be
reinstalled.

Unfortunately, I cannot reinstal Media Player becuase the setup program
exits saying that a newer version is already installed.

I have tried to uninstall Media Player but still get the error message from
the setup program.

How do I get rid of Windo Media Player completely so that I can reinstal it ?

I found the fix for this problem finally. Go to this link, and download the
update. Should fix the problem for you. Good luck.
