Hi

I have a problem with Windows Media Player 11 in Windows Vista.

When I attempt to run it, I get a message saying: Windows Media Player has
stopped working. When this message pops I can choose between closing the
program, or checking for a solution online (which I attempted to no success)

Under the "View problem details" tab, is the following listed.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: wmplayer.exe
Application Version: 11.0.6000.6324
Application Timestamp: 4549b52a
Fault Module Name: kernel32.dll
Fault Module Version: 6.0.6000.16386
Fault Module Timestamp: 4549bd80
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 000494c4
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.4

Anyone had any similar problems? Anyone know about a possible solution?
I do not want to reinstall Vista, as I have just gotten my hand on all the
software I need and configured them to work with Vista.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated

Thanks in advance

Do you have the file "Windows XP.wmz" on your system? If so, could you sent
it to me at zachd at microsoft dotty com?

If you go to
C:\program files\windows media player\skins
and open up some other skin there, are you then able to access WMP?
