WMP11 Installation issues

I downloaded the windows media player 11 beta, and the installation on my
windows XP media center PC froze up midway. I removed the WMP11 installation
by removing the folder from Program Files (I know, bad choice). I decided
to reinstall Windows Media Player 10 through an .exe installation file but
it would not let me do that, saying I'm already having a newer version of
WMP on my machine. I can't use the Windows Add/Remove method of installing
it cause it says that I'm missing some .dll.

Windows Media Player 11 beta installation also wants me to download and install
the Media Player Rollup 2, which displays an 'installation incomplete' message
while trying to install KB895572.

I need Windows Media Player 11 beta on my PC. What should I do? ... Thanks

P.S. I did post the above in the windows media player section but didn't
get any response.

What do you need it for? Are you a BETA tester?

I do want to test it, and its in BETA stage. So yes, I guess I am one.

Do you have a solution to the problem?

Reformat and don't install it again?

Bug report to development team? Beta means that if you can't find a solution
you might have to reinstall Windows ..

... but hold tight a bit someone might come up with something: Does System
Restore work? Restore the System to the Restore Point you created just
before installing the Beta software?

Are System Restores effective in case of Windows Component Uninstallations/Installations?
I think its because of the folder I removed.. not majorly because its a beta
version.
