WMP 10 is creating a folder named "1"

Hi Everyone!

I sure hope someone can help me. When I first started to use WMP I did not
know what I was doing and I went to the WMP library > Add to Library >
selected Add Folder > and a dialog box pops up which has 'ADD Folder' at the
top then below it has a list starting with Desktop then My Documents, My
Computer, and My Network Places - well I created a folder and named it "1".
I no longer want this folder and I delete it - but after a reboot Windows XP
or WMP just creats a new "1" folder. I have tried to eliminate it by going
into "Monitoring Folders" but it's not listed there.
But it still appears in the dialog box and puts the folder on my desktop.
How can I stop WMP from creating folder 1? I know it's creating the folder
because I can see the date it was created. So it's not a matter of deleting
a file, it's a matter of preventing WMP 10 from creating folder 1. Please
help!

i know this problem, and i have experienced it, it happens with windows
media player only because windows media player has a data layer, this program
is connect directly to the sound card, now if you mute the sound card from
within the windows volume control, would the volume be unmuted when you move
the seek bar, if so then the problem is actually related to you sound card,
so some progam is making the job for the seek not just to player the song you
want, but to move the volume level, if the above example worked correctly
please dont hesitate to email me so i can help you using Remote Assistance.
my email is (e-mail address removed).
