After I installed the WMF patch from windows everytime I try a drag
something from one folder to another my Roxio 7 VCD opens and freezes, has
anyone else had this problem? I had to uninstall my Roxio 7 to drag
anything.

What happened if you uninstalled the patch instead of the application?

Do NOT uninstall the patch! The vulnerability it fixed was one of the most
dangerous ever.

If Roxio's configurations got a little messed up, it might run fine once you
reinstall Roxio.

A little paranoid, eh? *grin*
It was one of the most publicized ever - at least for one that did as little
damage as it did.

If you are going to uninstall the patch to test if it was even the patch
that caused the issue - then sure - disconnect from the Internet first and
try it. If you have all the other security measures you should have in
place - then you have to actually visit an infected page or open an infected
email while unpatched to get hit by any of the known variants of this
exploit.

Just use common sense and don't go web surfing/email reading while
performing your test.

Then - reinstall the patch.

I uninstalled the roxio and it works fine, haven't tryed to reinstall the
roxio yet. I'll do it in a hour or so and get back to ya's

Temporarily uninstalling a patch is certainly a valid troubleshooting
technique.
Reasonable precautions need to be taken, in this case, no surfing and
possibly disconnecting the network connection.
But uninstalling the patch may be the only way to determine if it was the
cause and thus lead to a fix.
