WM MAkes me enter in my account namae and password, of every email account,
everytime i restart the program. When i first turn WM on, a windows security
prompt(with some gay ass flower on it) pops up and asks for the default
account name and password, then it receives that mail, then it pops up again
and asks for the alt account name and password, then it receives the mail
from that account.......... I have gone into the account properties , then
the servers tab, inputed the password, cause the account name is there, then
applied, turned off the program and it starts all over again. When i check
the server tab again, then password is blank again.
Why oh why do i have to continually enter in the info, everytime I use the
program? I have not messed with any security option, but the other day I hit
the 100th run and the "compact database" option kicked in and i had to turn
that off.
PLease help. I dont even want to check my email through WM anymore, it is
annoying.

That problem is typically caused by a non-compatible antivirus.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled.
Replace with a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:

Make sure AVG's mail scanning option is off. In fact,
I understand that a custom install of AVG needs to be done
in order to forego installing its mail scanning module.

Other than that, the only suggestion I have is to delete
one of the problem accounts, then create it again from scratch.
If this is successful, do it for all accounts.
Sometimes accounts get corrupted for no apparent reason.

I use Nod 32 (Eset), I am able to log on to my WM, no problem, that is not
the issue. I want to know why when I do sign on to WM, do I have to type in
my userrname password every time I want to log in, Why is that part not being
saved so we do not have to type it in every time. I can see the password
but the email address, no. Is there a way around this, what is the scoop
with that nasty little feature?

Normally that behavior is caused by a non-compatible antivirus,
but we have no prior reports of problems with Nod32.
Make sure its email scanning option is off.

Delete the problem account and create it again from scratch.

Anti Virus does not cause this. To fix...

Uncheck all the boxes that say "store password" (everywhere in the mail
program) CLose mail program down. Reopen mail program and then hit
send/recieve mail. It will ask you for your password and info. At that time
select save creditials. Thats it. Will save even after reopening the mail
program. This happened after you did some cleaning up on the computer.

Please refrain from posting this advice. It has no basis in fact.
Just because it happened to work once on your PC does not mean
it is the one and only fix for everyone else. Please leave troubleshooting
advice to the seasoned experts.

Well how about posting some advice, because I have this problem too.

All I ask is that each person seeking assistance describes their
issue in detail, complete with error messages, if any.
No "me too" statements, please.
