Just decided to try out WLM 2011 (Build 15.4.3538.0513) but while I like it
I find that when polling for messages automatically the first email account
has an error, unfortunately the error box is blank, if I remove the tick
from the 'include this account' it then does it with the next account. I
have removed then recreated the account but there's no difference &
everything works fine when I first open WLM. Is this a known bug? I seem to
remember having the same problem with WLM 2009.
Vista sp2.
3Gb ram.
500Gb HD.
Dual core processor.
Thanks in advance,
Time Lady.

Sorry, posted to the wrong newsgroup.

Where Should I go with the Closure of this Newsgroup?
Microsoft has a large selection of forums, many of which cover either

The forums have seen amazing growth and are an excellent place to

Thanks but I am aware of this as are many users, even though Microsoft do
not support this forum anymore via there news servers many people still
prefer this way of asking for help, the group is regularly used & no doubt
will continue to do so, same with the other MS newsgroups which are still
carried elsewhere other than MS servers.
I could understand your comments had this group not been active & I'd posted
but seems a little strange that you chose my post over all the others which
have been posted since the closure; not trying to cause a flame war but just
making an observation. :)

You are, of course, 100% correct :-)

As one example, I'm reading you on my current provider, NIN
(news.individual.net, not Nine Inch Nails).

Thank you Gene.
news.virginmedia.com still carry all the MS newsgroups but many have never
had a post since closure which is a shame.

Time Lady, the reason I replied to your message was that you
cross-posted it to multiple newsgroups. Also, and probably more
importantly, the nntp provider that I had subscribed to the Microsoft
groups with stopped carrying them. I decided to check a different ISP
and found activity, but not much. The problem with a dead newsgroup is
that it realy doesn't feed widely. For example, I am only seeing part
of the follow-up to your post. I didn't not see your reply until Gene
responded.
Include me in the people that miss nntp for the discussion of the
Microsoft products and services, but it is time to move on. ;-)
