Importing from WLM to Outlook 2003 Problems..

I have about 30,000 email messages I'm trying to import from Windows Live
Mail to Outlook 2003. The emails are Hotmail Plus via Pop3. I'm also using
Mcafee AntiSpam. I've tried two different ways to get the emails into
Outook. The first way was just downloading them from the Hotmail Pop3
server, but the problem with that is like 10% of them is going into my junk
email folders, both Mcafee and Outlook junk mail folders. Out of that maybe
1% is really junk mail and I have to sit here and remove them by hand, and
it's taking forever and turning into a nighmare.

I deleted all the emails and the Hotmail account from Outlook and Exported
all the emails from WLM into Outlook and it created new folders for those
messages. I then added my Hotmail Pop3 account to Outlook and named the
folder the same name as what was created when I imported from WLM, but it
still created a seperate Inbox for it. So, I moved all the imported emails
into the new folder that was just created by adding the Pop3 email account.
Then when I download the emails from the Hotmail Server it's doing mostly all
duplicate emails, so now I have a duplicate email problem and that's going to
take forever to remove all the duplicates. So, I'm not sure what to do now.
This would probably be the best way to do it if it didn't give me duplicates
or if their was an easy way to remove the duplicates because the only junk
emails I would have to go through is about 5 days worth since those are the
only ones that I haven't gone through and removed spam and stuff. Is there a
way I can only download the past 5 days of emails? That might be a solution
too. Please let me know what you think. Thanks for your help and time....

you're leaving mail on the server? If so, you need to download them
directly into Outlook. Try turning off the junk filter on both outlook and
mcafee when you first set up the account.

Why not use the outlook connector instead of pop?

1) What's the advantage of using Outlook Connector over Pop3?

2) I created a backup folder on the Windows Hotmail Live and I want to move
all the old emails into it, but it will only let me select one page at a time
to move them and I have over 1200 pages and that will take forever. Is there
an easier way to do it? I can't even delete them, because I would have the
same problem if I only wanted to delete the last 1000 pages or something.

Pop is not an option for most users. The connector gives an exchange
server-like experience, with contacts and calendar copied locally. Pop is
mail-only. it's easy to accidently delete messages using pop, harder using
the connector.

I'm not familiar with the features available on the web interface, sorry.

OK, do you know what files I need to backup to backup all my data, emails,
appointments, address book, etc.? Thanks..
