Hi, i recently switched from Win2k to XP and now i'm having trouble
staying in my wlan with the ms zero configuration tool. It resets my
wireless connection every few hours, sometimes 1, 5, 20 randomly. I
didn't have this problem at all with win2k so i'm 100% sure it's not
the router. I heard the best idea is to switch off the zero
configuration and use my vendors tool for connecting. Problem is, that
doesn't allow me to use WAP to connect. What can i do? I don't want to
go back to 2k or WEP ;) Are there maybe other 3rd party connection
tools?

Thanks, Daniel.

ps. there are no other networks close to me, it only see's mine.
pps. card and router are linksys.

What do you mean "that doesn't allow me to use WAP to connect"? Surely your
vendor's drivers or config utility allow infrastructure mode (ie connect to
WAP).

Sorry i didn't mean to connect to my wireless access point, but i meant
using WAP encryption.
It worked with 2k and a 3rd party software, but that is for 2k only.
Now i can only use zero configuration with xp because my vendors software
only supportsWEP encryption for whatever reason.

ppps. to add my original post: i'm running latest drivers, patches & service
pack ;)
