wirless vs wired help!!!

Candace Sparks

Just set up my new wireless laptop and a wireless router along with my wired
network. I am able to connect to the laptop with the wired desktops, but
cannot connect to the wired desktops with the wireless laptop. I can ping
both computers with the ip address and the computer name. I have disabled
any firewalls, and have the same username and password on the laptop and
desktops. They are all members of the same workgroup.

Getting the message that do not have permissions to connect, network path
cannot be found. It is really frustrating, because everything appears to be
configured correctly.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your help in advance!!

Check on the firewall(s). Depending how you have set up the wireless
router, you may have to disable the wireless NAT firewall.

Check for the SP2 firewall and allow PEER to PEER sharing.

I am intrested, did you buy a whole enw wirless router even though you have
a wired router?? If you did then you maybe should get a refund and bye a
cheaper product called an "Access Point" which plugs into your wired router
to give you wireless aswell

What is this "Access Point" of which you speak! I might be
interested in that.
