I have winxp home and want to know what wireless zero
config. is and If I need it. It is running with the rest
of the start up processes and is set to automatic. I
looked in the glossary but did'nt really understand it. I
went to the site where the meanings are listed, but it
just did'nt sink in my mind. (dah!) If I don't need it, I
would like to disable it. tia

Hey Jeanie,

If you don't use wireless networking, you can disable it.

I would guess if you don't know that you are, then you probably aren't.

Is this pc a single pc in a home environment that doesn't share files or
printers with any other local pc ?
How do you connect to the internet, is it with a dial up modem on a
telephone line, or do you have a cable connection, or is it a dsl connection
or something else.

Do you have any network cards in your pc, which have small aerials connected
to them, similar to the aerials on a mobile phone ?
