What are the chance of someone getting my wep key on a wireless network?

Got told there a program what is called aircrack.

Info: can recover a 40-bit, 104-bit, 256-bit or 512-bit WEP key once enough encrypted packets have been gathered. Also it can attack WPA1/2 networks with some advanced methods or simply by brute force.

Would it be better going on wpa keys?

Yep, WPA affords a little more security ... but I would go for WPA2. :thumb:

Do you have enemies that run Linux ... 'cos aircrack works very well using Linux. ;)

I wouldn't worry about it, it would take me about 24hrs to 'crack' your keys, if I knew where you lived. Can't see any reason to do that though, unless you have a couple mill in your bank account. Do you? then give me the street name. ;)

If you is worried then simply pull the plug. :D

oh, by the way ... your giving out your IP address ... **-**-**-***.cable.ubr02.wiga.blueyonder.co.uk ... I can narrow that down even further if you like.

The stars are what I put in to help "protect" you. :)
