Hi,
I have two XP computers and want to share a broardband
connection between the two, i would like it to be
wireless. However the DSL modem i am using is USB, do i
need to get a router for the two computers to talk to
each other?

Most routers can only support a dsl modem through a ethernet cable.
Purchasing a router will not work unless you can somehow call your internet
provider and get them to change your dsl modem to one that has a ethernet
port.
But once you change the DSL modem to one that has an ethernet port then a
router is most certaintly what you need to share a broadband connection
between two computers.
