Hi
From the weakest to the strongest, Wireless security capacity is.
No Security
MAC
WEP
WPA-PSK
WPA-AES
WPA2
The documentation of your Wireless devices (Wireless Router, and Wireless
Computers Card) should state the types of security comfigurations that is
available with your Wireless hardware.
All devices MUST be set to the same security level using the same pass
phrase.
Therefore the security must be set according what ever is the best possible
of one of the Wireless devices.
I.e. even if most of your system can be configured to the with WPA2, but one
device is only capable to be configured to a max. of WEP, to whole system
must be configured to WEP.
If you need more good security and one device (like a Wireless card that can
do WEP only) is holding better security for the whole Network, replace the
device with a better one.

Chas,

WiFi Security is just a portion of WiFi setup in general. And a portion of
Layered Security, which is what you have on each computer.

Open your internet browser. Type in http://192.168.0.1

Look for something that says wireless -- a tab or page.
Youre in the right place when you see terms like WEP WKA etc. Write down the
name listed of the network. Change it if you want.
Click WEP. It will either generate a code about 8 letters and numbers long,
or ask you to enter one. Just write it down. Look for another setting that
says wireless on/off or similar It may be called radio. Make sure its on.

click OK as many times to exit.

Go to Start - Control Panel - Network Connections - wireless - show
available networks - click on yours - when it asks for a code, put in the
one you wrote down from the settings. Click OK.

Good to go.
