Unsecured wireless network?

Laptop wirelessly connected to 3Com wireless modem router.
Encryption set at WPA-SK, firewall at Medium, default admin password changed
and SSID broadcast turned off yet when I "view wireless networks" it tells
me this is an unsecured network.
Can anyone tell me why?
Is it secure or not?

have you changed the SSID name? you need to change that as well.

turn broadcast back on as well. turning it off is NOT a recommended
security method and it causes other problems.
