I still can't connect. I've tried everything suggested
and it's still not working.

Steph,
Don't know what your original message said but I had
wireless problem with XP with a new laptop. Did
everything but could not get it to work. Finally swapped
laptop for another one (in frys) and that one worked.
Don't know what the problem was, but I do know a virus
can disable it. Have you scanned for a virus?

Nope. Haven't scanned for viruses. It's barely two weeks
old. Think that could be a problem with a brand new
computer?

Steph

If you have gone 2 weeks without Antivirus protection, then your computer is
most certainly infected with viruses, worms, trojans and spyware. Perhaps
you should take a little time and educate yourself about security practices
before using your computer. The average time for an unprotected computer to
become infected is less than 18 minutes. Not only is your computer
infected, but it is probably being used to search for and infect other
unprotected computers every time you connect to the net, making you a danger
to everyone else on the internet.

You should *NEVER* connect to the internet without a firewall and an
up-to-date antivirus scanner installed.

Bobby,

I'm not connected to the internet with my laptop or to
another computer. THAT'S MY PROBLEM. I've been
transferring documents using a CD. My desktop is
protected. And that drive was reformated this weekend
since my windows corrupted.
