Wireless Network & AOL

Hi All, I currently have two Windows pc's networked together using a Belkin USB
Wireless network adaptors.

PC 1 has Windows XP Professional (configured as 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0)
PC 2 has Windows 98 SE (configured as 192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0)

I also have a broadband usb router supplied by AOL, on PC 1, is it possible to
share this with PC 2? If so, how?

Any help would be greatly Appeciated

You don't have a router you have a broadband modem. To share the internet
connection you can do it twi different ways. 1 - buy a router and it will
network the computers and share the internet connection. Or 2 - turn on
internet connection sharing in XP on the computer that the modem is hooked
to. #1 is usally the easiest and most secure way.

With AOL you can never tell - they play around too much with the system
software. But you could try taking the connection to the router in
Network Connections, right click and on the Properties - Advanced page
check the 'Allow other network users to connect. . .' box to enable
Internet connection sharing.

Note that you will have to have the connection on the other machine set
to allow Windows to assign IP address and DNS - if you try to fix them
manually it won't work.

This works for me over an 802.11b wireless connection - I see no reason
why it would not work via the belkin; except for things AOL may have
done
