How do you get Windows Vista to activate the screen saver, sleep and
hibernation while the wireless mouse is running? If I unplug the USB
connection the screen saver sleep and hibernation work normally. I have a
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000.

SYMPTOMS
When you use a Microsoft wireless pointing device that uses Microsoft
IntelliPoint software on a Windows Vista-based computer, you may notice
that the screen saver of the computer does not work even though it is
configured to run.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, plug in a wireless receiver, and then check for
updates. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Windows Update Web site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Install the Optional Hardware Update that is named Microsoft HID
Non-User Input Data Filter.
