Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

I just purchased a wireless laser mouse 6000 and installed the
Intellipoint 5.5 drivers. Everything is working great except for one
thing. I was using an old Intellipoint Explorer (I think the original
version) with version 4.12 of the Intellipoint software. When I would
use Agent or any other window program with more than one window,
whichever window the cursor arrow was over would become the active
window. This does not seem to be the case with this mouse with this
software. Is there a setting I am not doing which will make it so the
window I am hovering will become active?

Unfortunately, that was a feature that has not been incorporated into the
new Intellipoint software.

That really sucks. Is there any version of the Intellipoint software,
which still has that feature, that I can use with this mouse?
