I have recently purchased a Microsoft wireless multimedia 1.1 keyboard and a
standard wireless optical mouse. Ever since i have been using them the
screensaver will not function. I have unplugged the receiver and the
screensaver will function. I have the latest drivers installed, does anyone
have any ideas.

To make this short! Go into MSCONFIG> Startup and disable your DVD or
CD-writing software. Also if you see an item called ehtray disable that
also. reboot and it will work. It is a conflict.

Hi There Joel,
Could you make it a bit longer for those of us who are struggling!! :)
I am having the same problem as Dave.
Where do I go to find msconfig etc?
Also if I disable my cd dvd writing software , does that mean I can no
longer use it??
I have tried some this
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;911895#appliesto
But for me it does not work.
Thanks for you help. I thought by buying microsoft products I was going to
avoid these sort of problems :)
Cheers Isagold

Start > Run > type msconfig

Of course, if something is disabled, it doesn't work
