Mouse and keyboard

I recently purchased and installed Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000,
replacing Logitech wireless desktop. Everything works ok, until the
screensaver comes on. After that nothing works. The lights on the receiver
even go out. The only way to get everything working again is to unplug the
USB and plug it back in. Any solutions for this? Computer does not
hibernate or "sleep." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open Device Manager, navigate to the USB section, go through each items
Properties and on the Power Management tab, UNcheck the "Allow computer
to turn off to save power" box.

Thanks Bob -- they both indicate "allow this device to bring computer out of
standby." Not sure what else I need to do to correct this problem.

You want to prevent XP from powering down the USB ports. I repeat

"UNcheck the "Allow computer to turn off to save power" box."
